This past weekend was definitely the most beautiful Seattle has seen in months! Blue skies and a bright, warm sun all day…it was so refreshing and a great time for Jace and Allison and I to take a trip downtown to capture their engagement pictures. I had a blast with this couple and you can see by the pictures that smiles and laughs were abundant…as it should be!
Here is a little sneak peek of our session! I can’t wait to post more photos in the near future!

We are Back in Seattle!
Some of you know that my husband and I were given the opportunity to move to Honduras last year to volunteer with a great organization, Art For Humanity. There we helped educate and support young, poor women in English, Business, and Leadership. We took the opportunity and moved with our son last March! We were blessed for the next 9 months as we met wonderful people and made great friends as we served the community around us.
Here are a few pictures from our time there:
**All of these were taken with our point and shoot camera. I really felt like I was suppose to set professional photography aside for the season we were ministering and serving in Honduras. But I sure did miss it and look forward to getting back into the professional portrait world!**
Our House!
My husband, son and I at this GORGEOUS viewpoint that was just a 20 min walk from our home!
A pretty nice place to live huh?! BEAUTIFUL!
Here we are with the first group of grateful students whose education is being paid for completely by sponsors and other generous donations!
Our son was 14 months when we arrived in Honduras and he LOVED it! It was heaven for him really…chickens running around, rocks and sticks to throw, dirt and a forest to explore daily, etc…
The first of many meals enjoyed outside in the dining area (which is now covered and enclosed). Beans, Eggs and Tortillas the daily staples.
Community Signs.
The local children LOVED Micah….not everyday you see a white, blond and blue eyed child in Honduras![]()
When my husband was free to watch our son, I was able to get some teaching opportunities too. It was SO fun getting to know the girls…I miss them so much!
Here a volunteer teaches the girls. ( If you are interested in traveling and volunteering at the school, click here.)
The daily sunsets never seized to amaze me. And yes, this is take from my back porch! Jealous?!
I can’t help posting pictures of him…you understand, right? Here my son is 18 months![]()
The stove top in our kitchen
I never did quite get the hang of making the fires, but luckily our cook, Candida, was a PRO!
We bought fresh cheese weekly from our neighbors; thanks to the cows![]()
We made fresh tortillas for every meal! YUM!
One of the big projects I started was a garden. It was so much fun when harvest time came!!
My favorite sites in Honduras
My husband giving our son a little ride on the “moto”![]()
And my boys taking a walk together in our gorgeous community.
The last family portrait before leaving Honduras. (It’s fun to look back at our first picture in front of the waterfall.)
Like I said, we were so blessed and enjoyed every minute we had there, but our season in Honduras came to an end a few months ago and we moved back to the Seattle area! One of the main reasons we are back is because we are now expecting our second child! We miss our Honduran community and lifestyle very much but we feel moving back here and being surrounded by our family and friends here during this time as our family grows is what is best!
SO…long story short
I am back in action and excited to start shooting weddings, engagements, seniors, etc… again! I have missed photography SO much!
Hope your last year has been amazing and I look forward to meeting new clients and making new friends and capturing your memories!

Once again I was blessed to take pictures of my precious niece, Riley. I just love being the photographer in the family, getting to chase around the little ones and document their little growing bodies and blossoming personalities. Riley is full of joyful energy. Our time together consisted of Riley showing off her new Red Rocking Chair, looking at little flowers on a tree and running around in the back yard…hoping for at least one picture where my little niece isn’t a blur. Hahaha. I just love being “Aunty Hailey”![]()
Later that day, after Riley’s dad got home from work, I also snapped a quick family moment for them.
Here she is looking at the blossoming tree in her yard and taking a close look at the flower buds Little Fingers. The chase begins!Don’t you just love her peacoat! Here is my Sister In Law and her husband and ,of course, their little joy!

We are officially moved out of Seattle and are coming to the end of our two week stay in Oregon to visit family and friends. My good friend, Ashley, has a beautiful 7 1/2 month old baby girl and I am so glad I had the opportunity to finally take their family pictures! Ashley also brought her parents and siblings along so I could snap a few family portraits for them as well!
We took these at the University of Oregon campus. For new photographers out there, college campuses tend to be a great locations for a shoot with great buildings and green grass![]()
This GORGEOUS family made my job so easy!
I just love the adoring parent pictures…Isn’t Ashley so beautiful!Baby Brooklyn wasn’t that all into the camera but I still managed to capture her cute little facial expressions as she was entertained by her loving parents.
Ok, so she did look at the camera once….
The Gorgeous Family all together!
